I am so glad that the Singapore food scene has evolved for the better over the past few years and we can now see more Michelin star chefs opening up restaurants here because a fusion of different higher end international cuisines and lower end local hawker foods could produce a beautiful union of results and bring Singapore food to a higher globalised culinary level altogether.

Hence, i am excited to find out what Gordon Ramsay will come up with and which of 3 hawkers, if any, would win tonight.

In case you don't know who the 3 hawkers are, they are:

Tian Tian Chicken Rice
328 Katong Laksa
Jumbo Seafood Chilli Crab (by chef, Ang Kiam Meng)

And in case you need a brief on who Gordon Ramsay is, he is a world renowned Michelin starred chef, TV personality and restauranteur. This guy could probably make celery taste divine.

Singtel Hawker Heroes Showdown is tonight at 630pm at Newton Food Centre. A livefeed of the showdown will be available from the below website between 7-730pm should you not want to head down.
