Food for Thought Sunday Brunch

The husband brought us to Food for Thought at the Botanical Gardens today for super filling brunch. This place is right next to the basement car park and used to be a food court.
We had raspberry pancakes which was soooo delicious,  breakfast set with the full works and mee rebus.
The raspberry compote complimented the fluffy pancakes so well, it was just amazing.
The full breakfast set was just too much to handle. Had to share that with the husband. It came with bacon and eggs and salad and bread and the list goes on.
The mee rebus was so so.
Everything with coffee for the 2 of us and a cup of milk for our older daughter cost us less than $50.00
Very chic rustic casual style, child friendly dining. Loved the place and so did the spouse and kid.
Truly blessed to be able to enjoy sunday brunch with the family.

Lunch @ Grand Park Hotel

We had lunch in Orchard at grand park hotel's open house restaurant today.
Range of food available is not fantastic but food quality is pretty good. Nothing bad to say about the food except the flies hovering over the salad station. Lol.
We ordered too much but managed to finish all but 3 slices of pizza. I liked the har kau for its huge prawn filling.
They have chinese roast meats, local food like laksa, a pizza station, a dessert station, dimsum station and also a claypot cuisine station.
I thought the ambience was cosy, quiet and the environment, child friendly.
Nothing great but for 25++ per pax, it filled our hungry tum tums up well. They also provide free parking to 1 vehicle per table.

Service was not the warmest but fast.

Oh and I wore my favourite lace cloth shoes out today by the way. Love them because they are soooooo comfy.

After lunch, the very supportive other half then surprised us by checking us into the park hotel at clarke quay for a staycation I asked for earlier. LOVE my spouse.

Hotel room was new, cosy and clean.

The kids loved the jacuzzi and i loved lying by the pool doing nothing all day.

Yet another thursday

My skin has turned darker the past 2 yrs from inadequate sun protection so my nice colleague bought me a black plastic visor from Daiso to cover my face from the sun during lunch. Its huge and covers the entire face. Hahahaha. She bought it for fun and didnt expect me to wear it out for lunch. not much of a fashion statement but hey its practical.
